'Regal' won well over one hundred
Breed wins, multi group placements
including an Award of Merit at
Westminster Kennel Club where his daughter
won Best of winners the same
day.
He lived life on his own terms
(like any self-respecting Beagle) and
brought
us much joy through his
antics and his many
offspring and grandchildren...
Regal captured
the three things that, for us, make up a beagle's
character;
courage, a merry heart and
gentleness. We have strived to
safeguard these traits in the
many years since with each passing
generation.
From
our first litter of
Beagles by Regal and out of a lovely bitch we
acquired from John and Peggy Shaw, Shaw's Star of Bakerstreet 'Judith',
we had a litter
of five puppies with
three finishing their Canadian and American championships.
Judith had only two litters, both times bred to Regal and out of
a total
of ten puppies, six finished
their American/Canadian
championships many with group placements and specialty wins.

'Lucille'
finished undefeated in
Canada with several group wins and placements along the way and in only
seven shows in U.S. with numerous Best Of Variety wins. She
completed her championship by taking Best of Winners at Westminster
Kennel Club and Best of Winners the following weekend at Monticello
Beagle Specialty in New York.
'Lucy' also
gave us a lovely
daughter, BISS Am/Can. Ch. Bakerstreet's Speakeasy, who followed in her
mother's footsteps.

'Lindsay' easily finished in
both countries with several Best of Breed
wins and won both her majors
at supported entries. Lindsay became
one of the most important
producers at Bakerstreet giving us over
twelve champions in both countries, including the lovely red and
white 'Phoenix' who graces our title plage and was winners female from
the Bred By and won an Award of Merit at the National Beagle Specialty
in Poughkeepsie, NY 1991.

'Smudge'
finished his
championship in just three days of showing winning the Hound group at a
supported entry at his first show and Best Puppy in Show. Smudge
had numerous Best of Variety wins and group placements in his limited
career. Showing wasn't really his thing. He much preferred
sleeping in his favourite chair or to go chasing rabbits!!
